Patient Account Services strive to provide quality assistance for patients and their families. Whenever you receive a bill from us, it covers the services you received at our facility and/or rural health clinic. As a courtesy to our patients, we will bill your insurance company, Medicare, or Medicaid on your behalf. We will do our best to obtain payment. You may receive separate bills from the pathologist, radiologist, or other healthcare professional. Questions about any of these bills should be directed to the number printed on the statement you receive.
For your convenience, we accept payments via cash, check, credit or debit card. Payments can be made at the front desk in the Main Entrance, at the clinic reception desk or by calling 660-476-2111 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

We accept most major health insurance plans and managed care programs. Several factors can affect the amount a patient owes the hospital. Some insurance plans may have special requirements for specific tests or procedures. We encourage you to review your benefits plan to understand your financial responsibility regarding your deductible, copays, coinsurance, and non covered services.
No one will be denied necessary medical care due to lack of insurance or inability to pay. You may, however, be asked to pay a portion of the cost when you register for a test or procedure.
Ellett Memorial Hospital and its Rural Health Clinic is dedicated to providing quality healthcare to all patients regardless of age, sex, race, religion, disability, veteran status, national origin and or ability to pay. We make every effort to complete a financial evaluation at the earliest possible point in the registration process for all patients regarding their ability to meet their financial obligation.
Ellett Memorial Hospital Financial Assistance Program Policy
For patients seen at Ellett Memorial Hospital that are uninsured and for which all other options for payment have been exhausted, we provide a Patient Financial Assistance Application. Our Patient Financial Assistance Program is intended to address the dual interest of providing access to care to those without the ability to pay and to offer a discount from billed charges for those who are able to pay a portion of the cost of their care.
This policy applies solely to patients who have no third party coverage either through governmental or commercial insurance sources for the essential services of Ellett Memorial Hospital. It is not intended to apply to the portion of charges an insured patient is personally responsible for, i.e., co-pays, co-insurance and deductibles and does not apply to non-essential services.
Non-essential health care services are defined as those that are not medically necessary or for those services provided in or related to Outpatient Specialty Clinics. Furthermore, this policy does not apply to charges for services from other providers whose services are coincident to those provided by Ellett Memorial Hospital.
AC Rural Health Clinic Sliding Fee Scale Policy
All patients seeking primary health care services at AC Rural Health Clinic are assured that they will be served regardless of ability to pay. No one is refused service because of lack of financial means to pay. This program is designed to provide free or discounted care to those who have no means, or limited means, to pay for their medical services (uninsured or underinsured).
AC Rural Health Clinic will offer a Sliding Fee Discount Program to all who are unable to pay for their services. AC Rural Health Clinic will base program eligibility on a person’s ability to pay and will not discriminate on the basis of an individual’s race, color, sex, national origin, disability, religion, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity. The Federal Poverty Guidelines are used in creating and annually updating the sliding fee schedule (SFS) to determine eligibility.
