Respiratory Therapy
Respiratory Therapy is a clinical specialty that is concerned with the treatment and management of a patient's breathing. Ellett Memorial Hospital’s respiratory care department’s goal is to restore normal breathing patterns, increase tolerance and improve quality of life.
Our certified Respiratory Therapists (RTs) identify their patients' needs through a comprehensive screening and evaluation process and then suggest a course of treatment and/or rehabilitation. RTs will also educate the patient and family about their condition and teach appropriate disease management techniques, such as breathing exercises and use of medications and respiratory equipment.
